Origin of the ZOAP CBX 10% flower

Zoap CBX 10% is inspired by the most sought-after modern American varieties, known for their original, fruity and very expressive aromatic profiles.

Born from the Rainbow Sherbet x Pink Guava, Zoap stands out with its unique signature: a blend of fruity sweetness, floral notes, tropical touches, and a slightly soapy, almost clean and resinous base. It's a flower with an atypical profile, designed for lovers of strains that break away from the classics.

This version enriched with 10% CBX reinforces the natural identity of Zoap with a more pronounced, more present and more intense formula in sensation, while retaining a beautiful aromatic finesse.

At Buddha Farm's, Zoap CBX 10% is selected for its modern profile, aromatic complexity and balance between sweetness, freshness and character.

Taste and smell of the ZOAP CBX 10% flower

Zoap CBX 10% develops an original aromatic profile, sweet, floral and slightly creamy.

Her bouquet consists of:

  • fruity and tropical notes
  • Guava/exotic fruit nuances
  • hints of sweet citrus
  • floral and slightly soapy base
  • earthy and resinous base
  • A smooth, clean and lingering finish

Upon opening, the aromas are immediately recognizable: a fruity and sweet attack, followed by a very particular floral touch, almost “clean”, which gives Zoap its very different identity.

Whether vaporized or infused, Zoap CBX reveals a complex aromatic palette: fruity at first, then more floral, with a slightly earthy and resinous base that adds depth.

It is an ideal flower for lovers of modern, sweet, aromatic and original American profiles.

What is the CBX?

The field of cannabinoids evolving constantly with and cannabioxepan CBX exciting new discoveries, , or , stands out as a innovation captivating Cannabioxepan is a novel tetracyclic cannabinoid derived from Cannabis sativa L., commonly known as hemp. Its chemical formula is C21H22O2. It is also worth noting that it is very similar to cannabifuran (CBF), as CBF and CBX are almost identical, differing by only one atom. According to the National Library of Medicine, this molecule was discovered in 2011 and has undergone several modifications, the most recent being in July 2022.

Chemical composition of CBX

As its name suggests, cannabioxepan is composed of oxepan. Oxepan is an organic molecule belonging to the category of saturated heterocycles. This implies a ring of seven members, including an oxygen atom.

It should be noted that it comes from the C. Sativa flower variety from a greenhouse cultivation in Rovigo (Italy), where a reference sample is kept.

Here are the various phases of the chemical synthesis of cannabioxepan:

Initially, the flowering tops of C. sativa (stems covered with abundant small flowers, the entirety of which is utilized) are harvested. These are then dried and exposed to a temperature of 120 degrees Celsius for 2.5 hours in a circulating air oven to decarboxylate the pre-cannabinoids. Once cooled to room temperature, the plant material was extracted with acetone. Following these procedures, solvent removal produced a gummy residue, which was distributed among various aqueous solutions and then fractionated into aqueous methanol and petroleum ether. Next, the polar phase—that is, the polar compounds, which are collected first, unlike in conventional chromatography—was purified and concentrated using CH2Cl2. Regarding the organic phase, it was dehydrated (with Na2SO4), then evaporated to obtain a black gum (10 g) which was subsequently purified by flash chromatography on silica. This process is repeated several times with variations.

Once these steps are completed, cannabioxepane is obtained.

What is the CBX used for?

It is likely that CBX will soon be classified in the same category as CBF, given that the two compounds are almost identical to a pure oxygen molecule.

CBX is known for its anti-inflammatory effects (according to the ACS Publication website), the impacts on the human body remain to be determined, but many products sold by pharmaceutical companies are intended for medical therapeutic use.

Its relaxing effects are more powerful than with the use of THV-N10 or CPM. They last between 20 and 40 minutes on average.

The future potential of the CBX

The identification of previously overlooked natural cannabinoids like CBX could provide new key structures for the discovery of innovative drugs. Indeed, several cannabinoids, such as cannabielsoin (CBE), cannabifuran (CBF), and cannabioxepane (CBO/CBX), according to ACS Publications, possess potential anti-inflammatory effects that could be exploited in the near future for the possible development of new treatments. Despite all this research, the field of cannabinoid structural diversity remains largely unexplored, as illustrated by the recent discovery of cannabimovone (CBM).

In short, cannabioxepan, or CBX, marks a new horizon in the study of cannabinoids. Although it's just the beginning, its potential is sparking the interest of researchers and paving the way for further discoveries. The Buddha Farm team is always here to bring you the latest developments in the captivating world of hemp and cannabinoids.
