The recently discovered THC-JD is starting to appear on the market. But what is the D9-Thcjd? And what could be the consequences of this?
The THC-JD (also called THCJD), or tetrahydrocannabidiol, is a cannabinoid that would naturally be present in minimal quantities in the cannabis plant. It is developed by the transformation of tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCVA) acid by decarboxylation.
As the direct extraction of the plant is complicated and expensive, THC-JD, like other substances such as HHC or THCP, is obtained by a laboratory process known as isomerization, from more easily accessible precursors such as CBD.
In a research environment , researchers start by obtaining a natural isolate from CBD from industrial hemp , then transform it into THC - JD through a reaction with catalysts .
What are the impacts of THC-JD ?
The THC-JD, like many recent cannabinoids, is one of the substances that have been very little analyzed so far. No scientific study has yet been carried out on this compound.
The THC-JD acts on the endocannabinoid system, in particular the CB1 and CB2 receptors, therefore it influences both the body and the mind. This compound has the potential to exercise powerful psychoactive effects, which can alter perception, state of mind or behavior. It seems that THC-JD also has the capacity to cause a state of euphoria or relaxation. The effects are usually short -lived, between 2 and 4 hours.
Adverse effects of THC-JD
There are obviously undesirable effects linked to this kind of psychoactive substance. As well as for THC, HHC or THCP, the following effects can manifest itself: dry mouth, red eyes, coordination problems, increase in heart rate, memory disorders, anxiety. Other unidentified undesirable effects may have occurred.
Legal status
On March 1, 2024, it is not listed among the prohibited substances in the majority of nations. In France, the sale is authorized if its THC content does not exceed 0.3%. However, this rule may differ from one country to another and in France, it could be changed.

Despite the fact that THC -JD is a substance , its strength requires prudent consumption . It is not recommended to pregnant women , minor people and those who follow medical treatment .
