Effects, Benefits and Legal Status
The recently discovered THC-JD is starting to appear on the market. But what exactly is D9-THCJD? And what could the consequences be?
THC-JD (also called THCJD), or tetrahydrocannabidiol, is a cannabinoid that is believed to occur naturally in trace amounts in the cannabis plant. It is produced by the decarboxylation of tetrahydrocannabivarinic acid (THCVA).
Because direct extraction from the plant is complicated and expensive, THC-JD, like other substances such as HHC or THCP, is obtained through a laboratory process known as isomerization, from more readily available precursors such as CBD.
In a research environment , researchers begin by obtaining a natural CBD isolate from industrial hemp , then transform it into THC - JD through a reaction with catalysts .
What are the impacts of THC-JD ?
THC-JD, like many newer cannabinoids, is among the substances that have been very little analyzed to date. No scientific studies have yet been conducted on this compound.
THC-JD acts on the endocannabinoid system, particularly the CB1 and CB2 receptors, and therefore influences both the body and mind. This compound has the potential to produce powerful psychoactive effects, which can alter perception, mood, or behavior. THC-JD also appears to induce a state of euphoria or relaxation. The effects are usually short-lived, lasting between 2 and 4 hours.
Side effects of THC-JD
There are obviously side effects associated with this type of psychoactive substance. As with THC, HHC, or THCP, the following effects may occur: dry mouth, red eyes, coordination problems, increased heart rate, memory problems, and anxiety. Other, previously unidentified side effects may also occur.
Legal status
As of March 1, 2024, it is not listed among the prohibited substances in most countries. In France, its sale is permitted if its THC content does not exceed 0.3%. However, this rule may differ from one country to another, and in France, it could be subject to change.
Is THC -JD risky ?
Despite THC - JD being a natural substance , its potency requires careful consumption . It is not recommended for pregnant women , minors , or those undergoing medical treatment .
Warning: THV-JD-based products have powerful effects that can temporarily impair judgment. For safety reasons, we strongly advise against driving after using this product.
How to use THC-JD?
Products containing THC-JD, such as flowers, resins, and pollen, are available on the market. They can be ingested by vaporization, infusion, or in a manner similar to conventional CBD products.
In summary, THC-JD offers an encouraging therapeutic perspective; however, its use must be approached with caution due to its strength and speed of effect.
